Return to News Release

EVERETT, Wash., March 16, 2004 -- The newest Boeing jetliner, the 777-300ER (extended range), earned type certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) on March 16, 2004. The certification, which follows an extensive flight test program, formally recognizes that the 777-300ER has successfully passed all testing and safety requirements of the regulatory agencies and is ready to enter passenger service.

The first 777-300ER will be delivered in April to International Lease Finance Corp.'s customer, Air France.
