Boeing Statement on 737 Accident in Kyrgyzstan

SEATTLE, Aug. 24, 2008 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] has learned of an accident involving a 737 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Boeing is coordinating with the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) to determine our role in providing technical assistance to them and to government investigators in Bishkek. Early reports indicate fatalities and injuries related to this accident. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the victims, to their family and friends, and to all who are affected by this accident.
