Boeing Delivers First 737 Equipped with Electronic Flight Bag to EgyptAir

CAIRO, Egypt, Oct. 01, 2006 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] has delivered the first 737 equipped with a Class 3 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) installed on the flight deck. EgyptAir received the airplane at the carrier's home base at Cairo International Airport. Certified for all phases of operation on the ground and in the air, Boeing's Class 3 EFB, shown here to the left of the captain's seat, digitally delivers vital charts and manuals that pilots need to fly an airplane, giving them quick access to the information they require.
